Project Description:

The overall scheme of the project can be described as follows: dam work of rocking type with a concrete surface with a height of 205,50 m measured from the placement of the base up to the parapet;  River diversion works with 2 tunnels of portal section with a height of 14,00 m on MI; a precise upstream with a height of 36,5 m (including 5.0 m of gabions ) and a downstream case with a height of 22,0 m; open sky drainer with 6 bays for floodgates on the control zone located on the left margin and subterranean hydroelectric plant with a Powerhouse on cavern over the MD that hosts 2 turbo generator units of 375 MW each one.
