What is LAPEM?

The Equipment and Materials Test Laboratory (LAPEM in Spanish) is an organization created by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE in Spanish), whose objectives are:

To take care of the needs of the domestic and international electrical sector, supplying studies related to specialized engineering, lab and field tests regarding equipment and materials, as well as quality management for supplies and systems in a reliable, timely and effective manner, supported by a high specialization degree of its staff, along with a permanent service attitude.
